A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

Roll Down is a rollingball game combined with a classic arcade racer! Participate in different events like Time Attack and Speed-trap with a small collection of Sport Balls on extreme downhill tracks inspired by real life locations. At the moment the game is  in Early Access.

What the Game All ready includes:

We have already three game-modes (Time Attack, Speed-trap and Racemode), Three Sport Balls which you can customize and Three maps.

Roll Down Finale Version:

1. Singelplayer Carrier where you have to beat different Opponents in different gamemodes like racing, speed-challange, Time Attack and Duells. (Aming to be ready by summer)

2. Online races, splitscreen (when its ready)

So what is the plan?

Here is the Roadmap!
Prototype One: was a proof of concept just to get an idea if this is even possible!
Prototype Two: Re acting to the player feedback and checking if the performance is possible with the Graphic standard. Can be tested on Itch.io at the moment!
Demo: The Demo will be a completely vertical slice of the game and will give every one the chance to get there hand on some gameplay! It will feature three Balls and two game modes time attack and speed trap.
Early Access: Beyond the Demo there will be an Early Access version! You will get access to the latest builds!
Release: Release will be on Game Jolt, Itch.io and Steam!
Things to keep in mind: At the moment I am developing the game solo by side my full-time job so things may take longer as they should!

Wow, I can't believe it's been 3 years since I played it for the first time and here I am back having played the latest version and I leave you recommendations:

  1. -I don't know if you played trackmania, but I recommend the first one. There are many things that can serve you as inspiration that the new trackmania left out, such as survival mode and other interesting modes. One of the things is that when you go through a checkpoint it shows you what is your time at that moment.
  2. -The tail movement of the ball is going to be different, right? Maybe I would try adding a blur, and glow, maybe I would see lowering the opacity or another effect. It would also be nice if the tail depends on the color of the ball you choose.
  3. -Not an important detail, but easy to correct, notice that it says singelplayer, it should say singleplayer. It was probably a typo and when you try your own game you hardly notice those details. Multiplayer you should also correct it.
  4. -In SpeedTrap, each time you restart from a checkpoint you should lose points, because in many cases you can restart from a checkpoint on purpose to go with greater speed to the next checkpoint.
  5. -I would add a restart key to make the restart faster. The "E" is for the checkpoint but perhaps the "R" could be used to start the track from scratch. Or another key.
  6. -When you choose a location you should have the back button because game mode appears but it returns you to the modes menu.

I see that you are working on a way to create tracks, that's very cool.

Thank you for adding me in the credits and thanking me, I really liked that gesture.

I managed to be first in almost all the tracks, in the first one I had no chance to surpass you at least for now haha.

Greetings and success with this project. I will play it again later as soon as there are more updates.

Hey thx for your massive feedback will take a look at the bugs & suggested features at the weekend.

Very nice concept which reminds me a lot of Mindball play, do you know it? I'm a disabled gamer and saw you have mouse control please keep that in always so I can keep playing in the finished version 😉

Hi thx for your comment, this means a lot to me. I will take a look at mindball maybe I can get some Ideas for the next updates. Also don"t worry for the mouse control, I am also playing it mostly with those of coarse if there is any thing I can make, to make them even more comfortable for you let me know.

Nice idea and graphics! This with a splitscreen mode it would be awesome.
